Synopsis:
No french review yet:
Perhaps sometimes with the best of intentions films end up a little unusual. Perhaps it's because, particularly in the Western genre, so many films were made, that directors tried to make their film a little different so it stood out from the rest. That is perhaps why we see strips of rawhide as a killers calling card, a gang of masked villains taking the law into their own hands and phantom horses. But one must wonder at the reasoning behind an all midget western and the introduction of two of Horrors most famous characters, Dracula and Frankenstein, to the wild west. This collection features the work of two of the most zany directors in the history of the western. William 'One Shot' Beaudine and Sam Newfield were a special breed of director. Both men had little time for re-takes and both men finished feature films in record time. It's that type of care and concern for top quality product that makes for classic viewing. As a bonus we've included 3 weird western cartoons. I'm sure when these cartoons were made back in the thirties and forties that they were considered very amusing but as the years go by they just look stranger and stranger. Sit back put your feet up and enjoy your visit to The Weird Weird West.
