Synopsis:
Jeff Mc Cloud, champion de rodéo, ne peut plus s'adonner à sa passion suite à une blessure le laissant boiteux. Il prend alors en charge l'éducation de Wes qui rêve de gloire. Sa femme Louise voit d'un fort mauvais oeil l'entraînement de son mari, bientôt propulsé par sa réussite dans le milieu "noir" du rodéo : héros malchanceux estropiés, alcooliques, femmes malheureuses .....
