Synopsis:
No french review yet:
Most people have a few bottles of wine at home, occasionally buy a stash of wine on sale at the supermarket or off-licence, and read "wine connoisseurs" reviews in the newspaper. Few people, however, know what's involved. before a bottle of wine hits the shelves, and how a company can stay ahead of the curve in a world that can make or break reputations in one season… Taking over a vineyard is a risky business. In the case of Chateau Margaux in the French region of Bordeaux, we can safely speak of a success story. We follow the owner as she tries to gain a foothold in China, Hong Kong and India, and we see how the weather can disrupt the best plans. In South Africa, three winemakers share their vision for the future of their country. One of them is taking part in the International Wine Challenge in London with his "Cape Jazz Shiraz". Finally, we get to know the purveyors of the British royal family, the Berry Brothers, founded in 1698 and still as traditional as before. Three different sides of a unique industry, showing that there is more to the production of a bottle of wine than meets the eye on the label.
