Passages: H.R. Giger became known all over the world as the designer of the aliens in Ridley Scott's feature film ALIEN. In this documentary about H.R. Giger's work, which was made many years before, the artist's creative process and the interplay between conscious and unconscious influences are the focus. Statements by experts and contemporaries address the question of the artist's position and social responsibility. Swiss Made: An alien visits earth and records its experiences. FM Murer Meets HR Giger: A filmic approach by Belinda Sallin to two artist friends whose paths crossed in Zurich's School of Design. Fredi M. Murer (Höhenfeuer, Vitus) looks back on context and works. From Another World: A kind of very personal diary, that artist H.R. Giger shot while preparing on the set. Giger's Necronomicon: Giger showcases his art along with some of his thoughts and reactions from some of his customers and his parents. Tagtraum: Claude Sandoz, Walter Wegmüller and HR Giger in joint painting session. A New Face of Debbie Harry: Debbie Harry first solo album with banned art by H.R. Giger is covered.
