Synopsis:

Neil Randall, publicitaire ambitieux, mène une vie parfaitement heureuse entre sa femme Abby et leur fille âgée de cinq ans, Sophie. Le week-end de l'anniversaire d'Abby, Neil accepte à contrecoeur une invitation de son patron à la campagne afin de ne pas compromettre ses chances d'être promu associé. En échange, Neil déposera Abby chez sa meilleure amie avec qui elle pourra passer la journée, tandis qu'une babysitter s'occupera de Sophie. Tout se déroule comme prévu : Neil et Abby, insouciants, s'installent dans leur Range Rover et se mettent à évoquer leurs projets d'avenir - jusqu'au moment où un homme armé, qui s'était caché sous le siège arrière, fait son apparition
