This Danish film explores the truncated lives of the regulars at an all-night cafe, The Ostrich. An affectionate look at a group of people who are going nowhere, it bears some resemblance to William Saroyan's play The Time of Your Life and the British TV series, Coronation Street.

Svandt is a middle-aged poet with a girlfriend, a few friends, and a psychiatrist. However, he has been so colorless and unassuming his entire life that when he disappears one day, his friend Andersen experiences extraordinary difficulty in finding anyone who even remembers him. Even with the help of the police, the search goes poorly.
People Meet and Sweet Music Fills the Heart (1967)
In this heavy drama, a woman goes on a tumultuous train ride to South America, has a number of affairs, get involved in a murder and finds herself in a brothel. Later she finds herself pursued by one of her train conquests as she returns to New York to become a star dancer. Time passes and she boards another train. Here she is assaulted by a masked man who demands that she take off her clothes. In the morning she wakes up alone.
