Synopsis:

Capturing Mary est un téléfilm écrit et réalisé par Stephen Poliakoff pour la chaîne britannique BBC en 2007. Ce film faisait suite à un premier volet, Joe's Palace, et les deux histoires sont liées par un mystérieux hôtel particulier londonien qui fut le lieu de somptueuses soirées jusque dans les années 70 avant d'être abandonné par son riche propriétaire. Désormais c'est le jeune Joe qui surveille ces gigantesques pièces vides. Un jour, Mary, une vieille dame (Maggie Smith), demande à visiter la demeure. Joe accepte et découvre que cette femme a fréquenté les soirées sélects de son patron Eliott Graham lorsqu'elle était jeune, et il écoute son histoire.
