Janet McTeer is Helen Hewitt, one of Britain's few female prison governors in this critically acclaimed drama series based upon the real life stories of genuine inmates at some of Britain's toughest prisons. Charged with maintaining a high security all male prison, Hewitt's first job is to gain the respect of her male colleagues. Her second to bring under control a hardened group of murderers, violent thugs and addicts.
