Synopsis:

Peter Carter est un réalisateur canadien, particulièrement connu pour ses séries B (le très évocateur A man called Intrepid), mais est aussi le producteur associé du très bon film Act of the Heart avec Geneviève Bujold et Donald Sutherland. Dans ce pâle remake de Deliverance, un groupe de médecins se retrouve dans le bois face à un mystérieux assassin. Rituals présente quelques réflexions intéressantes sur l'effrayante nature et sur la responsabilité du corps médical face à l'erreur... Il faut toutefois aller très loin pour trouver une quelconque symbolique dans ce film essentiellement destiné à copier son illustre prédécesseur.
