A wry look at animal behaviour, capturing dozens of remarkable, startling and funny scenes. Filmed on location in the Namib Desert in southern Africa, it blends documentary footage, tongue-in-cheek but informative narration and classical music. Highlights include daredevil cart-wheeling baboons, the remarkable partnership of the badger and the honey-guide bird, animals intoxicated on fermented fruit, and footage of an ostrich mating dance that is strikingly reminiscent of Fantasia. Adding a human element is the film's account of the astonishingly intricate lengths to which the Kalahari bushmen go to find water.
