Synopsis:

Se anuncian como "Mayores portándose mal" y es un coro que no se parece a ninguno. Young@Heart está integrado por jubilados entre los 75 y los 93 años residentes en Northampton, Massachusetts, que han cosechado críticas excelentes en todas las partes del mundo en las que han actuado. A una edad en que muchas personas han muerto o están pasando sus últimos días en residencias para mayores, estos jubilados se han subido al escenario para cantar a grito pelado temas rock de Outkast, Jimi Hendrix y Radiohead.

Este conmovedor documental sigue a los miembros del coro mientras están preparando un nuevo espectáculo, y a lo largo del mismo va aflorando un extraordinariamente íntimo retrato de un excepcional grupo de personas cuyos cuerpos pueden haber envejecido pero que sencillamente se niegan a que su espíritu envejezca. Porque la película no sólo trata de un grupo único de cantantes, sino de uno de los asuntos que más desafíos presentan: la vejez. En los labios de todas esas personas mayores, las letras de conocidas canciones adquieren una nueva intensidad. Sus interpretaciones rompen algunos de los mayores tabúes en torno a la vejez: el amor, el sexo, la pérdida de la juventud y la soledad, la enfermedad y, sobre todo, la muerte.
