Synopsis:

En la acaudalada alta sociedad de Boston de los años 30, el matrimonio Barret es admirado por su bienestar y felicidad. Sin embargo, de puertas para adentro, algo falla en su espléndida relación: la esterilidad de Arthur Barret hace imposible la llegada de un hijo.
