Synopsis:

Haul Out the Holly: Emily's manipulative boyfriend steals her apartment out from under her, only telling her when she breaks up with him & tries to kick him out. She returns home for the holidays intending to relax and get her bearings from this devastating blow, but as she pulls up her parents abandon her to go house hunting in Florida. What's worse, they left her responsible for meeting all the holiday decorating HOA requirements--with no warning! The current HOA president starts harassing her daily about the lack of decorations and manipulates her into taking over a time-consuming parade plan. It's also hinted that her parents had previously decorated but took the decorations down just to screw her over. Instead of abandoning the community of horrible humans, she stays to try and make the best of it. In the end, in true Hallmark movie fashion, she falls for the HOA jerk because she apparently can't help but fall for manipulative jerks that remind her of her parents. Three Wise Men and a Baby: For various reasons, all three of the adult Brenner brothers currently live with their single mother Barbara in the family home. Stephan lives in the granny suite in her back yard as a place to hide out. He's an animal therapist and believes that animals are more reliable than people; he is anxious around humans, especially in crowds. Taylor, a video game engineer, lives in the basement as the irresponsible, disruptive one who always manages to sabotage good things in his life. And firefighter Luke, who lives in the main part of the house, is only there temporarily while he builds his own house; so far 'temporarily' has lasted 10 months, as he is easily distracted and works on projects for other people. Barbara's goal is for them and their Aunt Louise to spend Christmas together, despite the brothers having pulled away from each other ever since their father abandoned them when they were children; they don't usually help her decorate the house. Five days before Christmas, someone leaves a baby named Thomas at the firehouse specifically for Luke, probably the mother: the note pinned to Thomas only implores Luke to look after Thomas until Christmas, when she promises to come back for him. Luke, certain that Thomas is not his son, doesn't know who the mother could be or why she chose him as Thomas' temporary caregiver. He decides to look after Thomas with Barbara's help until Christmas, and if the mother doesn't return by then, he will take Thomas to Family Services. As Barbara is called away shortly thereafter on an emergency, the three brothers need to care for Thomas on their own, something they are ill-equipped to do. But with Thomas in their lives, they are forced to examine their inter-relationships, including the underlying issues of why they have never really appreciated self-sacrificing Barbara. Lights, Camera, Christmas!: Kerry Devine of small town Twelve Oaks, CO, is struggling financially and emotionally. Owning and operating a clothing boutique, Retrofit Exchange, she is close to needing to close pending a miracle due to being far behind in rent, she unable to pay due to little business. She once dreamed of being a fashion designer, but a setback in her freshman year at design college after which she dropped out has resulted in her doubting her design capabilities, despite still designing on the side, those dresses which she sells in the boutique. Things change when a movie shoot comes to town for 'My Favorite Santa' starring Brad Baxter, known as the King of Christmas for starring in a number of Christmas-themed romantic comedies. While Kerry's Christmas and celebrity obsessed mother Nancy Devine is in love with Brad the movie star, Kerry doesn't even know who he is in not being like her mother. Kerry and Brad get a chance to get to know each other when producer Caleb Turner, having trouble finding a costumer for the movie, first buys out Kerry's store for possible costumes - that miracle which she needed to pay rent - and then second hires her to be the costume designer despite her lack of experience in this area. While Kerry and the rest of the cast and crew can only watch with some comic sadness the troubles between Caleb and the movie's writer/director Jill Turner, his ex-wife, they only reuniting for this out out of professional need, that comic sadness in everyone being to see that there are still feelings between the two, Kerry and Brad not only start to fall for each other in each discovering the real person behind the movie façade, but each brings out in the other the want to take chances in life that they were not willing to do before meeting. Those chances may be their downfall in their professional and personal lives not meshing. What happens with this collective is told in flashbacks one year down the road at a question and answer session for a special pre-premiere screening of 'My Favorite Santa' in Los Angeles.
