Synopsis:

A man who owes his success to the talent of others must resurrect the last creative spark of a dead man in this dark comedy. Pedro (Juan Manuel Alari) and Juan (Gonzalo Cammarota) were partners working at a successful advertising agency; while they worked together, Juan was the brains of the team and Pedro was little more than his helper. However, most of their colleagues regarded them as equals, and when Juan dies unexpectedly, Pedro is given a promotion and handed sole authority over the project they were working on, a campaign for a new cold medicine. Juan supposedly had a great idea for the commercials shortly before he died, but he never told Pedro what it was, so now the hapless adman, clearly in over his head, is desperate to find some clue to what it was. Pedro breaks into Juan's flat, talks to his girlfriend, and struggles to immerse himself in his late friend's life, all to no avail. La Cáscara (aka The Rind) was the first feature film from writer and director Carlos Ameglio.

An advertising creative dies unexpectedly while working on an idea for the launch of an anti-cold pill. From then on Pedro, one of his old colleagues, begins an intricate search in order to discover the departed's idea, taking over his place and making use of his original notes and thoughts. Along the way Pedro comes across an orphan, a street child that will unconsciously and eventually lead him to a new and singular idea.
