Synopsis:

Silvana, the depressed wife of a provincial industrialist, convinces herself that Marie, their young Romanian maid, is stealing from her. With no proof and against her husband's wishes, Silvana fires Marie without notice. After desperately wandering around, Maria goes to live with her former boyfriend, Ionut, who has just been released from prison. While co-habitating together, their long-extinguished passion reignites.

Drama. When some jewellery goes missing from their home, Giovanni Boarin and his wife Silvana conclude that their maid Maria is to blame. When they dismiss her, she goes to stay with her ex-boyfriend Ionut, where, together with ex-convict Marco, they plan to burgle the Boarin home.
