Synopsis:

Only When I Dance is the extraordinary story of two teenagers, one girl, one boy, chasing a seemingly impossible dream. Dance is their passion, and their dream is to dance their way out of the violent and dangerous outskirts of Rio, leaving Brazil to join one of the leading dance companies in the North. The question is, can they make it? Will Irlan and Isabella succeed to secure their space on the extremely competitive dance stage?

Two teenage ballet dancers from the working-class favelas of Rio are determined to dance their way to a better life, but to do so they must battle against harsh prejudice, doubt and some of the best dancers in the world.
