Synopsis:
Stairway (2004)
An adolescent girl discovers her first amorous emotions. Parts of her days take place in a stairwell. It is there that she says goodbye to her boyfriend before returning home; it is also there that she meets her girlfriend. It is there that the strong emotions of her young existence are played out. Filmed in a superb setting with faultless acting, the film slips into the life of a young girl, providing us with touches of sensitivity, strength and justice.

Goal (2003)
The two Spanish football players, Eduardo and José, indulge in their passion for football even in the cemetery. At the grave of their friend Miguel they reminisce in a fever of excitement about their team's victory. As their joy over the goals becomes increasingly boisterous, a visitor to the cemetery takes her place on the offensive.

Meyers (2003)
Married for 30 years, Ernst and Edna lead the usual life of couples their age: the men go to work whilst the women do the shopping.

The bread (2003)
One night, caught by a munchy attack, Virginie and Pascal make a bet on who can make the smallest sandwich in the world. This leads to a sexual misunderstanding.

The Man with No Shadow (2003)
A solitary man without a shadow rises from his desk, dons his hat, and leaves his apartment. He walks through a city to a large door, knocks, shows his invitation, and is admitted to a colorful scene. He walks through drawing rooms and gardens. He speaks with a man in a top hat who offers him a life of romance, but in that life there is betrayal. Is there a place in the world for our man without a shadow?

U (2002)
Humans pollute. It is a fact! But beyond the gas emissions, the destruction of the ozone layer, or blackened tides, there is also everything which is evacuated from all the orifices of our bodies. The child who accompanies us in this scatologically descriptive film provides just the touch of humour necessary in establishing the contrast between the subject and the manner in which it is presented.

Sacrifice (2003)
On the night of 26 April 1986 and during the months which followed, one million men - called 'liquidators' - were thrown into action. Under terrifyingly radioactive conditions their task was to cover the fiery nuclear reactor at Chernobyl with an improvised sarcophagus and to eradicate the consequences of the catastrophe throughout the territories. They combatted radionuclides with their bare hands, with shovels and with water hoses. Tens of thousands died and are still dying.

I Have Everything (2004)
Happiness goes a long way, right to the opposite extreme.

The Letter From Mina (2004)
In 1824 Jonathan, a young English gentleman, struck out alone on a long journey to distant lands. His fiancée, Mina, stayed behind in London, but the pair maintained a lively correspondence during his absence. Some weeks later, however, Jonathan suddenly seemed to disappear without a trace. Mina's letters remained unanswered; her anxiety grew from day to day. One night she had an distressing dream, in which Jonathan appeared to her, and the next morning she awoke weak and distraught. She wrote Jonathan a last, desperate letter, in which she told him of her dream and implored him to return to her. But she received no reply. Mina never heard anything more from Jonathan. Almost 200 years have passed since those sad events. In a dark apartment, somewhere in a foreign city, a mysterious young man reads an ancient letter. It is the letter from Mina.

The Song of the Pharmacist (2003)
A young girl, cutting her bread, cuts herself. She runs to the chemist but he has just been murdered. She says: "I will show you the bread", but the bread was gone, it was in the dog's belly. What do you think, happened to her? She was put into the mill. She will be hanged tomorrow.
