Synopsis:

Friends since childhood Arnold (Erik Clausen) and Benny (Kim Larsen) are now facing the grim reality of being both homeless and unemployed. But necessity is the mother of invention and the two friends decide to make their own sunshine and start their own business - moonlighting! They set up quarters in a deserted factory and word soon gets out about their succesful business attracting other youngsters in similar situations. In a very short time they turn the factory and its surroundings into a prosperous little community. Unfortunately their succes also cause others to be envious and the politcians to be more than wary about this unauthorized experiment. Arnold and Benny don't exactly see eye to eye when it comes to dealing with these interferences and their friendship is threatened - especially when they fall for the same girl. "In the Middle of the Night" stars Kim Larsen, one of the most popular singers in Denmark with more than 20 years in the Danish music business, he's also responsible for the soundtrack which contains songs that have already become "evergreens".
