Synopsis:

Welcome to Paradise Lodge - a 'superior residence for retired gentlefolk'. Within these walls you'll find four of the strangest and funniest OAPs you're ever likely to meet! Flora Petty (Peggy Mount) is a domineering battleaxe waging her own one-woman war against the system - and everything else in her way! Her sidekick is Cissie (Pat Coombs), a mousy little woman with a nervous disposition and not a lot going on in the brain department. Mad motorbike fanatic Mildred (Diana King) and faded actress Dolly (Lally Bowers) complete the gang. Together, they're determined to make life as difficult as possible for the proprietress of Paradise Lodge, Miss Milton (Charmian May) and to beat the system every time! This DVD collection includes all seven episodes from the fourth and final series of You're Only Young Twice, first screened on ITV in 1981. Plus the extra-length 1980 Christmas Special!.

Set in 'Paradise Lodge Retirement Home', it was created and written by the writing partnership of Michael Ashton and Pam Valentine and starred much-loved TV Battleaxe Peggy Mount as the wily Flora Petty, with Character-Actress Pat Coombs as her sidekick Cissie Lupin. The majority of the 31 episodes (broadcast throughout the show's 4-year run) centred around Flora's attempts to thwart the long-suffering staff, led by Miss Milton (Charmian May).
