Synopsis:

Episode 1: The Champion
House owner Bondeno is found dead. While there is a witness who saw the suspected perpetrator, his description doesn't help. In Bondeno's garden hut Rex finds a folder with pictures of mongrel dogs mauled to death. DVDs with illegal dogfights are seized.

Episode 2: Centaurs
After a bad fall in an llegal motorcycle race Stefano dies on the way to the hospital. Since forensics confirm that the motorbike had been manipulated, Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri and Morini investigate a murder.

Episode 3 The Howling
When Enrico Di Vitiis, a retired cardiologist and president of a golf club, is found battered to death, the murder weapon is quickly identified as a golf iron. Thanks to Rex it is soon clear that the man was killed in front of the club house and his body subsequently transported to the sixth hole.

Episode 4 My Band Plays Rock
The murder of rock singer Daria demands special commitment from Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri, as she was a close friend of Katia Martelli.

Episode 5 The Nick of Time
The Italian secret service is in a state of alert. During a conference for the banning of land mines, a bomb attack is supposed to be committed by order of the international arms lobby. Therefore, when bomb builder Rocchi is found dead from an overdose, agent Gloria Savino joins the team around Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri.

Episode 6 Good Boys
Tony Miani, a young man from a wealthy family, is celebrating his 20th birthday. During a fireworks display he is stabbed to death. In the ensuing panic, Massi drives off in Tony's car and is attacked by Tony's brother Federico, who had hidden on the backseat, with a knife. Federico flees into the forest, followed by Massi. But Massi loses Federico's trail.

Episode 7 Cat's Eyes
When Countess Clotilde Sanfelice falls to her death from a window, all evidence points to a murder. A homeless woman, who fled the house before the eyes of horrified witnesses, is regarded as the main suspect.

Episode 8 The Names of the Stars
Late at night, astronomer Varinelli works in the observatory. When he administers eye drops to his eyes he is blinded - just a few days before the comet that has been named after him will appear.

Episode 9 Cold Case
At a female neighbour's party, Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri meets young student Ivana who comes to see him in the police department the following day. The law student from former Yugoslavia asks him to reopen the case of her mother Miliça who lost her life 17 years before. She does not believe in the suicide theory of the investigators at the

Episode 10 Music Please Maestro
Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri attends a concert by pianist Flavio Bonomi, who has agreed to receive him afterwards. But when his cousin Antonio accompanies Fabbri to Flavio's dressing room, they hear a scream and find the pianist slain in his dressing room, where an MP3-player is playing.

Episode 11 The Girl Who Vanished
Katia has won a cruise for two and she is accompanied by Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri, who leaves Rex in Morini's care. But Rex manages to sneak aboard, and Fabbri hides him in his cabin. Meanwhile Katia discovers that Anna, who is presumed to have been physically abused by a passenger, has disappeared.

Episode 12 The Curse of Caravaggio
While Inspector Lorenzo Fabbri, Rex and Morini are attending a conference on Malta, Italian arts expert Ranieri falls victim to a poison attack. Gori demands that his investigators help their Maltese colleagues.
