Synopsis:
Since 1897 when Bram Stoker wrote his novel Dracula the vampire has played a huge part in the horror genre. The vampire first appeared in film in 1913 in Robert G. Vignola's lost film The Vampire. They have continued to appear in film to this day. Few vampire films have reached the quality of F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu. This film remains one of the most frightening films ever made. And includes a chilling atmosphere that is rarely achieved in film. Here we present a collection of vampire films from around the world. Some brilliant others not so brilliant but all in their own way entertaining. 8 PAGE BOOKLET INCLUDED Disc 1 NOSFERATU (1922) VAMPYR (1932) Disc 2 ATOM AGE VAMPIRE (1960) FANGS OF THE LIVING DEAD (1969) Disc 3
VAMPIRE NIGHT ORGY (1973) COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE (1973)

Nosferatu (1922)
Wisbourg, Germany based estate agent Knock dispatches his associate, Hutter, to Count Orlok's castle in Transylvania as the Count wants to purchase a isolated house in Wisbourg. They plan on selling him the one across the way from Hutter's own home. Hutter leaves his innocent wife, Ellen, with some friends while he is away. Hutter's trek is an unusual one, with many locals not wanting to take him near the castle where strange events have been occurring. Once at the castle, Hutter does manage to sell the Count the house, but he also notices and feels unusual occurrences, primarily feeling like there is a dark shadow hanging over him, even in the daytime when the Count is unusually asleep. Hutter eventually sees the Count's sleeping chamber in a crypt, and based on a book he has recently read, believes the Count is really a vampire or Nosferatu. While Hutter is trapped in the castle, the Count, hiding in a shipment of coffins, makes his way to Wisbourg, causing death along his way, which most attribute to the plague. Hutter himself tries to rush home to save his town and most importantly save Ellen from Nosferatu's imminent arrival. In Wisbourg, Ellen can feel the impending darkness as Nosferatu gets closer. But she learns that a sinless woman can sacrifice herself to kill the vampire. Will Hutter be able to save Ellen either from Nosferatu and/or her self-sacrifice?

Vampyr (1932)
Young traveller Allan Grey arrives in a remote castle and starts seeing weird, inexplicable sights (a man whose shadow has a life of its own, a mysterious scythe-bearing figure tolling a bell, a terrifying dream of his own burial). Things come to a head when one of the daughters of the lord of the castle succumbs to anaemia - or is it something more sinister?

Atom Age Vampire (1960)
The stripper Jeanette Moreneau is dumped by her boyfriend Pierre Mornet and she drives her car to talk to him. However, she has a car accident and the left side of her face is completely disfigured by horrible scars. She is approached in the hospital by Monique Riviere, who is the assistant and lover of Professor Alberto Levin, and she tells Jeanette that her face can be restored. Jeanette secretly goes to the professor's house and is treated by him, using a process that depends on the cells that Prof. Levin, who is also a monster that strangles his victim, removes from the women that he kills. While treating Jeanette, Prof. Levin falls in an unrequited love for her and kills Monique. Meanwhile, the police inspector that is investigating the mysterious murders, suspects of Prof. Levin.

Fangs of the Living Dead (1969)
This low-budget Spanish-Italian co-production was the handiwork of cult filmmaker Amando De Ossorio, best known for his series of Knights Templar zombie films which began with La Noche del Terror Ciego (1971). Faded '50s bombshell Anita Ekberg stars as Silvia, a young woman who travels to the family castle which she will soon inherit. When she arrives, she meets her uncle (Julian Ugarte), who gives her some rather disheartening news. Many years before, a nun named Malenka was burned as a witch in the town square and swore to return for revenge. Silvia looks just like Malenka, and the villagers are terrified that the witch's spirit has been reincarnated in her. Soon, villagers start dying, and Silvia is so sure that she is possessed that she breaks off her engagement, convinced that she is destined to kill her beloved (Gianni Medici). Naturally, as the title already gives away, the blood-drinking attacks are part of a plot by Ugarte to drive Silvia mad and steal her inheritance.

Vampire Night Orgy (1974)
A group of workers is traveling by bus to the town of Bojoni to work for an aristocratic family. The driver has a fulminating heart attack, and the group decides to drive to the near village of Tolnio instead, to spend the night and follow to Bojoni on the next morning. They find nobody in the apparently ghost city, but in the next morning, they meet the hospitable dwellers. Their bus has a problem in the engine, and they have to stay in Tolnio. Sooner they find that they are trapped in a vampire village.

Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride (1973)
On the outskirts of London a Satanic Rite is being performed using Mia Martin to summon back Dracula. They have been infiltrated by a member of MI6 who escapes to warn the government of a plot. Special Branch contacts Van Helsing who recognizes his friend (Freddy Jones) as one of the conspirators. Confronting him, he discovers Dracula's plan to unleash bubonic plague upon the world. But Dracula has a trap for a more personal revenge against Van Helsing waiting. The last true Hammer Horror influenced various occult groups: The Church of Satan and the artist, actor and parapsychologist Stephen Armourae, much like the more famous The Wicker Man.

Nosferatu (1922)
Vampire Count Orlok expresses interest in a new residence and real estate agent Hutter's wife. Silent classic based on the story 'Dracula.'

Vampyr (1932)
A traveler obsessed with the supernatural visits an old inn and finds evidence of vampires.

Atom Age Vampire (1960)
A stripper is horribly disfigured in a car accident. A brilliant scientist develops a treatment that restores her beauty and falls in love with her. To preserve her appearance the doctor must give her additional treatments using glands taken from murdered women. His unexplained ability to turn into a hideous monster helps with this problem but does nothing to win her love. The doctor's woes multiply as the police and the girl's boyfriend begin to close in on him.

Fangs of the Living Dead (1969)
A beautiful virgin inherits a castle, but when she arrives at it, she finds that the inhabitants include a strange nobleman and a bevy of beautiful women she suspects may be vampires.

Vampire Night Orgy (1974)
A busload of tourists stops in to visit a small European town. What they don't know is that the town is completely inhabited by vampires.

Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride (1973)
It's 1974 - two years after the events in Dracula 1972. Strange things are happening - some girls are disappearing from the street and some of them are secretaries to important people. The Police and the Secret Service become interested when rich people (including a Lord) are pouring their empires into a foundation in which the boss hasn't been seen and a photograph of him doesn't produce a figure. The Inspector from D72 comes to see Van Helsing and Jessica and their investigations lead them to believe that the boss is Dracula...
