Synopsis:

Dad, an accountant, is fired because the boss thinks he's too boring and doesn't fit the company's new progressive profile.

The family quickly change their vacation plans when Uncle Anders is informed that he has inherited a castle.

When Uncle Anders learns he is inheriting a castle on Funen, the whole family piles in the car to go to there for their holiday. As it turns out, another family is also claiming title to the castle. Father's wallet is stolen. Inside the wallet is the winning sports lottery ticket belonging to the office pool. Per and Uncle Anders attempt to catch the pickpocket themselves and get back the wallet and the ticket. Meanwhile, the rest of the family have plenty of their own business to worry about: Ole is going out with Stella, a skater girl, Mie and her friend are shooting a music video, and Sos frets that Peter, her boyfriend, will forget their second anniversary. On top of everything, Per gets lost.

When a Japanese family moves in next door, Per and Shin, the same age, instantly become friends. But after the boys cut school, each set of parents' blames the other, causing a rift between neighbors. What will it take for the two families to reconcile their differences?

Dad´s skills in outdoor activities are put to the test when the family travel to Sweden for the weekend to visit Annika, Dad´s cousin. Annika has a nature park and Uncle Anders seizes the opportunity to put on his old scout shirt and take out his compass. Lille Per, Mie, Ole and Søs thrive with Annika, but they soon find out that not everything is ideal. A gang led by the villain Rikart, are messing up the nature park with old refrigerators and hazardous waste. The family tries to procure evidence, but Rikart and his gang now pursue the family, so they must flee and take refuge in the dangerous and wild areas of the nature park.

The Father of Four-family is preparing Søs and Peter's wedding but while the house is upside down the family all of a sudden has to travel to Funen to help Peter's foster father Skipper. Skipper is in trouble as his training ship Valborg, which over the years has served as an orphanage, is about to fall apart. The ship can only be saved if Skipper wins the yearly regatta. The schedule is tight, but Per convinces the family to go to sea in order to help Skipper and save Peter's childhood home. But the rival ship Medusa, is using foul play and the race ends up in a nerve wrecking battle at sea in the midst of wind and waves.
