Synopsis:
In his film work came Oskar Werner's play, his struggle for truthfulness to a special intensity. In the cinema he created an immediate world of artistic creation. Grandios and relentlessly he used the possibilities of the medium - and gave the audience some of the most beautiful moments in film history. This production has been virtually unseen since the 1960s and may be recorded as a small film historical sensation. His interpretation of salvation history is Oskar Werner formally imaginative, while he shines in front of the camera together with Gertrud Kückelmann.
