Synopsis:

Death has become a taboo in our society. People die between clean sheets, removed from the public. Death is a topic we hide from ourselves and others. In the film we meet the charismatic 65-year-old Hans Petter, who has terminal cancer and only a short time left to live. These days he is busy using his remaining months and weeks as best he can. Not least, he is doing everything in his power to make arrangements so that his wife, Eva, will be taken care of after he is gone. But this is not so easy for Eva. She would gladly spend more time with Hans Petter, rather than having him finish all of his projects. The backdrop for this poetic film is at Svanholm Funeral Home in Trondheim, where death is experienced on a daily basis. Hans Petter comes here to plan his own funeral.
