Biographical drama about the life of the American poet Emily Dickinson from her college years at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary to her death in 1886 that details her lack of recognition as a poet during her lifetime, her frustrations regarding gender inequality and creative integrity and her increasing bitterness and reclusiveness as she grows older.
