Synopsis:
Nosfératu Tango (2002)
The amusing but tragic story of a mosquito falling in love with Nosferatu, the prince of vampires.

Objection III (2002)
An Algerian man with an artificial leg is caught by border guards trying to enter Switzerland with a group of refugees. Subsequently, he is informally sent back to Germany. When he is deported in the early hours of the morning, his artificial leg is left behind. On finding the prosthesis, the Swiss immigration officials respond rather nervously as no one wants to be responsible for it.

Soufflé (2002)
A couple prepares to receive their guests. The wife has planned a soufflé for the menu, which requires quite a lot of attention. It is important not to have any delays, to serve it at exactly the right moment. This is not the time for surprises, agreeable or not. This film, a final project prior to graduation from the Zurich school, plays aptly on the analogy between the evening's menu with friends and certain realities in the emotional life of the characters.

Exit (2002)
Erika has cancer and wants to die with dignity. Ruedi, her husband, does not want to live without her, so they decide to depart this world together. Everything is ready: someone is going to help them, but Ruedi suddenly has doubts. A reflection on 'assisted suicide', recounted in a tragicomic vein.

Suite 705 (2002)
Director: Michael Steiner, Philipp Lengyel - 20'

Captive (2002)
A chameleon eases along a branch, feeding on flies and insects. The jungle seems welcoming and his survival assured. What more could he ask? This is, in fact, the question which troubles our chameleon and begins to depress him as he becomes aware of the reality of his environment. This animated 3-D film dwells on the apparently enchanted world where heroes live and that of reality, which in the end is only a prison. Humour softens the shock.

Joshua (2002)
A young man is put to the test as a newly trained customs official. Alone and inexperienced at a border post in the hills, he meets bizarre, mysterious characters who will lead him to his own frontiers in a series of events both absurd and grotesque. A final project prior to graduation from the Zurich school, this is a film in the form of an enchanted parable.

Swapped (2002)
William swaps his dad for his friend Randall's two goldfish. When his mother finds out about the exchange, she sends him along with his little sister, Marge, to get their father back.

Better Than Nothing (2002)
A woman of a certain age is at the hairdresser's. Just like every month, she is having her hair coloured, washed and cut. She just cannot seem to give it up, even though her 'sin of vanity' is costing her dearly. While under the attentive care of the hairdresser, she shares her thoughts with the mirror and the viewer. A sensitive and touching portrait between documentary and fiction.

The Moebius Strip (2002)
Director: Vincent Pluss, 26'
