Synopsis:
The Decameron (1971)
The Decameron was the first of director Pier Paolo Pasolini's 'trilogy of life.' The film, based on the sexually supercharged tales of Boccaccio, is a patchwork of many of Pasolini's favorite themes. ***ATTENTION***Decameron doesn't have English audio - Italian audio and English subtitles only***
The Canterbury Tales (1972)
The second part of Pasolini's Trilogy of Life plunges with gusto into dark and bawdy tales which celebrate almost every conceivable form of sexual act with a rich earthy humour. Pasolini himself has a cameo appearance in this playful film presented here in a beautiful new restoration.
Arabian Nights (1974)
The final part of Pasolini's Trilogy of Life series was two years in the making. The locations - Yemen Ethiopia Iran and Nepal - form a rich exotic backdrop to these tales of slaves and kings potions betrayals demons and most of all love and lovemaking in all its myriad forms.
Salò (1975)
Set in the Nazi-controlled, northern Italian state of Salo in 1944, four dignitaries round up sixteen perfect specimens of youth and take them together with guards, servants and studs to a palace near Marzabotto.

The Decameron was the first of director Pier Paolo Pasolini's 'trilogy of life.' The film, based on the sexually supercharged tales of Boccaccio, is a patchwork of many of Pasolini's favorite themes. Pasolini himself plays the role of an aspiring fresco painter who is advised that his completed work will never be as satisfying as his dream of that work. The film is followed by Pasolini's The Canterbury Tales and The Arabian Nights. ***ATTENTION***Decameron doesn't have English audio - Italian audio and English subtitles only***

Engrossing mysterious profound and liberating Arabian Nights is an exquisitely dreamlike sensuous and adult interpretation of the original folk tales presented here in a beautiful new High Definition restoration.

Salò (1975)
Set in the Nazi-controlled, northern Italian state of Salo in 1944, four dignitaries round up sixteen perfect specimens of youth and take them together with guards, servants and studs to a palace near Marzabotto. In addition, there are four middle-aged women: three of whom recount arousing stories whilst the fourth accompanies on the piano. The story is largely taken up with their recounting the stories of Dante and De Sade: the Circle of Manias, the Circle of Shit and the Circle of Blood. Following this, the youths are executed whilst each libertine takes his turn as voyeur.
