Synopsis:
Ironside broke new ground in programming by giving television its first disabled hero and star Raymond Burr (Perry Mason) a second major television hit spanning an incredible 8 years.
Confined to a wheelchair, Ironside leads his own special police unit from his uniquely equipped office at SFPD headquarters, fighting crime others can't aided by crack team of investigators including Sgt. Ed Brown (Don Galloway), ex-con -turned assistant Mark Sanger (Don Mitchell) and beautiful policewoman Eve Whitfield (Barbara Anderson). Season 2, Episode 26: Not with a Whimper, But a Bang

Ironside and his team, along with a U.S. Army bomb-disposal unit, respond to threats on a college campus. Although the devices found are relatively harmless, the chief believes that might change.

Ironside is confined to a wheel chair (an attempted assassination left him paralyzed). With his former assistants Brown and Whitfield (later Belding) and former delinquent (and later lawyer) Mark, he combats crime for the San Francisco police from his mobile office (a van) while leaving a pot of chili cooking back at headquarters.
