Synopsis:
Bad girls in films have not been confined to any particular era. Bad girls have kept us on the edge of our seats wondering just how much they can get away with before they are caught and finally brought to justice. Alas they are nearly all caught in the end and this collection highlights some bad girls from the 40's to the 60's. We've also included some short educational films in the hope we can direct some potentially bad girls back onto the straight and narrow. Sit back and enjoy the rise and fall of some Very Bad Girls. Swamp Women (1955)
A plucky police woman infiltrates a group of hardened female criminals who are planning to break jail and retrieve their loot of diamonds from its swampy hiding place. Complications arise when the women abduct Connors and begin fighting each other.

Blonde Ice (1948)
Reporting the news for a top periodical Claire Cummings (Leslie Brooks) believes she made for better things other than hammering out a living with her sports reporter boy friend Les Burns (Robert Paige) and decides to marry up into wealth. On her honeymoon her new husband abandons her and goes back to Los Angeles when he catches her writing a love letter to Les. Later that night Claire charters a plane piloted by Blackie Talon (Russ Vincent) to travel back to Los Angeles and the next day her husband is found dead, presumably from a suicide. The police suspect murder and Claire deflects their suspicions by framing Les as having motive and opportunity to do in his rival. Claire continues to manipulate the emotions of Les to keep him helping her and when Blackie comes back into her life for blackmailing purposes, Claire dispatches him and cuddles up to successful politician Stanley Mason (James Whalen) for a ride to the top of the heap, but when he discovers her getting close to Les, Mason confronts Clair. When Les discovers the depths of Clair's ruthlessness he realizes it may cost him his own life.

Cindy Goes to a Party (1955)
Cindy, a 12-year-old tomboy, is devastated when she learns that she hasn't been invited to a neighborhood birthday party. That night in bed, her fairy godmother visits her, tells her enough with this tomboy baloney, gives her a frilly new party dress and some rules on how proper young girls are to behave at parties.

Beginning to Date (1953)
George wants to ask Mildred to the community dance. However, George has never been on a date before. Not only that, but George is rather short--let's face it, he's a runt--and Mildred is much taller than he is. The high school swimming coach gives George advice on how to handle himself on the date by comparing a first date to a first swimming meet. George, much like the viewer, doesn't get that comparison, either. In any case, we follow George and Mildred as they each prepare for and eventually go out on their date.

Sin You Sinners (1963)
A middle-aged exotic dancer uses a magical amulet to keep her youthful looks and to psychically control the lives of those around her. Coveting the charm, her boss and his prostitute friend hatch a plot to steal it. At the same time, the stripper's daughter makes similar plans. When the dancer finds out, she puts a wicked spell upon the club owner and the streetwalker that results in murder. The karmic tables turn however, when the dancer loses the amulet.

Lady Gangster (1942)
The direction of Warner Bros.' Lady Gangster is credited to one 'Florian Roberts,' who on closer examination turns out to be veteran helmsman Robert Florey, working pseudonymously. Faye Emerson plays the title character, aspiring actress Dot Burton, whose chance association with a gang of bank robbers leads inexorably to a life of crime. She eventually ends up in prison, where she participates in a break-out. Her regeneration comes about when she rescues Kenneth Phillips (Frank Wilcox), the only man who has ever shown her any kindness, from being rubbed out by the mob. The supporting cast includes Julie Bishop (who only a year earlier had been billing herself as Jacqueline Wells), and Jackie 'C.' Gleason, wasted in the role of a rotund henchman. Lady Gangter bears some traces of the 1932 Warner Bros. drama The Life of Vergie Winters.

What to Do on a Date (1950)
A high school senior learns how and where to ask a girl for a date, where to take her for a good time, and how to avoid spending too much money or being bored by commercialized amusements.

Dating: Do's and Don'ts (1949)
This social guidance 'how-to' film has received more camp accolades than any other, and deserves it. Alan Woodruff ('Woody') receives a ticket to admit one couple to the upcoming Hi-Teen Carnival. 'One couple,' Woody reflects. 'That means a date! Not like just going around with the crowd!' Woody decides to ask Ann Davis, who, the narrator points out, 'knows how to have a good time.' With her perpetual squint and chipmunk cheeks, Ann (pronounced 'Ay-yun' by the actors in this film) is the perfect companion for super-nerd Woody. At crucial moments in the date, the narrator stops the action and presents Woody with several possible options for his actions. Happily, Woody makes all the correct decisions and ends up walking home from Ann's doorstep whistling with satisfaction at a job well done. 'Thanks so much,' says Ann with a toothy grin. 'I had LOADS of fun.' Classic Coronet! Rare (but incomplete) Kodachrome version.

Bad Girls Go to Hell (1965)
After hubby Ted goes to work, Ellen putters around the apartment in her nightgown cleaning up. When she takes the trash out, the janitor forces her into his apartment and rapes her. When he tries to rape her again, she dispatches him and then hits the road, a fugitive from injustice. She goes to the Big City and encounters a string of situations where she gets used and abused. When she finally finds a nice woman to rent from, the woman's son turns out to be a detective, which threatens her newly found identity and peace of mind.

Mad Youth (1940)
Exploitation king Willis Kent was both producer and director of the deathless cautionary fable Mad Youth. Because she doesn't have proper parental supervision, heroine Mary Ainslee falls in with an unsavory crowd and ends up working in a clip joint.Things come to a sorry pass when both Ainslee and her 'playgirl' mother Betty Compson find themselves both in love with the same oily gigolo (Willy Castello). As often happened in films of this nature, all action stops dead in its tracks half-way through the proceedings for a series of risible production numbers, staged in this instance at the La Golondrina Café in Los Angeles. The most talented of the bunch is tap-dancer Betty Atkinson, who also figures peripherally in the plot.

How to Say No (1951)
This classroom training film is somewhat unusual in that, instead of the usual indoctrination about fitting in and not doing anything to draw attention to yourself, it actually encourages teenagers to think for themselves and act on their conscience. It tells the story of three teenagers and how they resisted the temptation of drinking, smoking and sex by standing up to the 'gang' and not going along with this 'dangerous' and 'immoral' behavior.

Are You Ready for Marriage? (1950)
Nineteen year old Larry is in his first year at college and eighteen year old Sue is a high school senior. After having known each other for only three months, they want to get married, but Sue's parents believe she should wait at least two more years before even getting engaged. To overcome her parent's objections, Larry believes that he and Sue speaking to a relationship counselor will help them convince Sue's parents to come on board their way of thinking. Mr. Hall, the counselor, instead opens their eyes to their readiness or not for marriage. They're in romantic love, they've never had an argument, but they only talk to each other about superficial things instead of those important things about being married. Mr. Hall gets them to think about their compatibility and what it will take to have a married life which will stand the test of time.

Swamp Women (1955)
An undercover policewoman helps three female convicts escape from prison so that they can lead her to a stash of stolen diamonds hidden in a swamp.

Blonde Ice (1948)
A society reporter keeps herself in the headlines by marrying a series of wealthy men, all of whom die under mysterious circumstances.

Cindy Goes to a Party (1955)
Cindy's fairy godmother makes it possible for her to go to a party and enjoy it by improving her manners.

Beginning to Date (1953)
George, a teenaged boy who has never been on a date before, wants to ask out Mildred, who is also much taller than he is. Not sure of how to proceed, he asks his swimming coach for advice.

Sin You Sinners (1963)
A stripper/fortune teller uses a magical Haitian amulet to keep young, and in so doing forces others to kill for her.

Lady Gangster (1942)
An actress gets mixed up with a criminal gang and winds up taking the rap for a $40,000 robbery. Before she's sent to prison, she steals the money from her cohorts and hides it, intending to use it as a bargaining chip to win her release from prison. However, her former partners have other ideas.

What to Do on a Date (1950)
A shy teen wants to ask out a girl on a date - but how can he know what she'd like to do, or what kind of activity would be best suited for getting to know her?

Dating: Do's and Don'ts (1949)
Woody is given an extra ticket for the school carnival, and since he has been lusting after the virginal Ann for quite some time, decides to ask her to go with him. However, despite--or possibly because of--his name, poor Woody hasn't the slightest idea of what to do on a date. The narrator, who unfortunately for Woody has Ann's best interests at heart, takes him through several situations that may come up on the date, and gives him instructions on what to do for whatever may arise, thereby ensuring that Ann remains untouched by human hands and that Woody remains frustrated and horny.

Bad Girls Go to Hell (1965)
One of the roughest and most provocative films to come out of 1965! Bad Girls Go to Hell because they're possessed with sex and they know no shame. After murdering her rapist, Ellen hits the road and ends up in some very disturbing situations. She is used and abused throughout the entire film! B&W 65 min. Special Features: Short film: Almost King. Apprehensive Films Trailers. Uncut Full Screen Presentation.

Mad Youth (1940)
A rich society mother hires a male escort, but he falls for her daughter instead. The mother-daughter conflict forces the daughter to run off to stay with a friend who is enslaved by a prostitution ring.

How to Say No (1951)
How to say no to unwanted smoking, drinking and petting, and still keep your friends... This film deals with such teen-age behavior problems as smoking, drinking, and love-making and discusses the ways of saying 'no' in such situations and still maintaining status and keeping friends.

Are You Ready for Marriage? (1950)
Sue and Larry kiss passionately on her front porch one night; he asks her to marry him. The next day, they meet at the soda shop: she's glum, her parents refuse permission. Larry wants to elope; after all, they've been dating for three months, she's about to graduate from high school, and he has only two years left of college. They decide to visit Mr. Hall, the marriage counselor at a local church, to ask him to convince her parents. He walks them through Cupid's checklist: are your backgrounds similar, are you friends, do you understand marriage? Larry and Sue spend the summer living the checklist. Will they decide they are ready?
